Too bad that site doesn't sell the ultra brief asian styles. Arena makes some of the hottest suits in Japan, not for the USA market I guess.

you could try ebay, like this one where I've bought before. He ships from Singapore. Price-wise they might be a little pricey, depending on the type of suits. But he sells the Asian styles that you might like.

I've bought from this site too:
http://www.swimwear4men.com/
It's also quite pricey though. Ships from Europe.

Another site I've bought from is:
http://www.kyouei-mizugi.com/
It's in Japanese but I use the Google translator. But the Japanese-style speedos are super super super tight so I don't think you'd be able fit into them.

Swimdude, for a 28 you'll want a Japanese medium for sure. It's equivalent of a US small.

Some good sources for japanese briefs is aquxny.ocnk.net, rakuten.co.jp, and jpnswimming.net.

We should have a sticky post with links to japanese brief sources. A kind of directory, you know?

You could try this site for ultra brief asian styles:

http://mategear.com/products-page/superbikinis/

Same quality and fit as the japanese style trunks, but much more affordable and they offer free shipping. You should definitely get a medium as their styles run smaller than our usual sizes.

Is http://aquxny.ocnk.net/ the same or aqux.net? I usually order from aqux.net but only when I see a style really like as it is rather expensive even before shipping charges..

Never heard of Mategear until you guys started talking about them here. I love the cut on many of their suits but I'm not into this current trend of multi-colored suits made up of sewn together patches of contrasting color fabric. I like solid colored speedos the best and some printed fabrics from time to time but with these new styles of geometrically shaped patches being sewn together there's all these seams all over the suit when for me at least, part of the appeal of a Speedo is the smoothness of it conforming to the natural curves of the body.

But anyway, Mategear has a pretty cool marketing video on Youtube, here it is, all 27 seconds of it, wish it was longer.

You think that one's good? I'll agree but there's another 25 second one with some REAL nice eye candy. :D

Anybody know if any of their suits have drawstrings or no? They seem so minimal that there's no room for one.

Their super bikinis - the speedo kind meant for swimming - do come with drawstrings. The other one i bought, the ultra bikinis, doesn't come with any, but they fit so snugly i haven't noticed.

Anyways, for anyone wanting to try out their stuff, they are having a promotion. just enter "mategear10" at checkout to get 10% off your total order, only catch is you gotta order 2 or more items. Haha, for free international shipping which you can actually track, it's a pretty good deal i guess.

I think it looks great. smooth, clean lines that I like the most. it is not as brief as I like but it looks really great and comfortable and perfect for swimming and everything else that makes speedos the best kind of bathing suit!

Speaking of videos, I just realized they posted videos of all their products on a real model so that we can actually see how it looks like, not to mention it seems like they upgraded their photos too. quite kinky if you ask me. Check it out:

I just purchased an Arena suit today, of course I decided to get red finally instead of black like all my other suits. Im glad I saw this thread cause it reassures me that I bought a good suit. Btw how is the sizing? I went with a 32 which is what I wear for the Speedo brand.

hey swimdude, I just got a pair of arenas from japan and they are too small for me. I wear a 30 speedo. There're size M (76 - 80 cm) just like pooablo bought. I could make a good deal for someone if they want them. I went ahead and ordered a L and an O size. The L fit good. I can gain a little weight and fit into the speedos but the M arenas I would move up a size. I'm going to list them on ebay soon. Just thought I'd post this if anyone is interested.
