Aussiebum Classic

Hey all, I know we've talked about Aussiebums a lot on this board but I'm in the market for some new suits and wanted some advice.

As I've said before, the suits, which fit me best so far have been Asian speedos (where I usually wear size M or 30"). And I should add that I may be getting an Arena with the mesh seam in back soon! They fit because they're low-riding and tight.

BUT, I have a question about Aussiebum. I had bought an XS Squad Boosterjock. But I found it to be slightly too big and the boosterjock annoyed me.

So I was searching their site and realized that they carry Classic and Classic 1.5" in XXS!!! Does anyone else have experience with these suits, their fit (I know it's different because it's nylon), and possibly pictures? The models make anything look good. I want to see a real person LOL :D

Also I kind of like the Storm as well but they only have XS so I still think I couldn't wear 'em.

Sorry for the brief ramble, but any help would be awesome! You all are a great resource.

Hey Newspeedo! I also like Asian suits since low and tight works for me also. I wear an M/30 in Asian.

I'd also like to know about the Classic or Classic 1.5. I bought the Aussiebum Loose in "S." Its...well...a little too loose. Also my package kind of works down between my legs and doesnt feel right. For me the XS might work better. Not sure I can go down to the XXS.

Maybe there are some skinny guys out there who have got Aussies to fit right. Loose doesn't work for me. Maybe they just work better on guys that are beefier.

I've always wanted a mesh butt seam Arena. Please post a review and pic when you get one!! The Aqux in my avatar is a mesh seam suit. That suit fits just so amazing.

Just adding my bit to the aussiebum chat, ive got a pair of 1.5" loose in titanium size S. This is before the Booster technology and they fit great. I normally wear a size 14 speedo.
The great thing about the aussiebums is that tied up the are great to swim in but pull that string and you are ready for anything

I too will br gettin me some more will try the boosterjock next time

Hey Rob, considering the physique you have I think you should have ordered a size smaller. It would definitely "enhance" your look :)

PS: Sorry I replied so fast saying I couldn't see them. All is well now.

hum... damn. i think so too!
but wearing them, they feel small! really lol!

by the aussiebum waist size (in the website), i am an M.
which i ordered first, and when i got it, yes, it was big. so i changed it for an S (shown in the photos).

ok... now im gonna order a XS lol
i love that 'loose feeling'. i hope the XS doesnt tie me up.
but ill try. i can always exchange it if it doesnt work.

thanks for your help.

Well, I've just used the opposite strategy as Rob. I started out with the smallest.

I caved this afternoon after much thought and bought a 1.5" Classic in Royal Blue XXS.

Given that their XS tends to be so big, I think I made the right choice.

As always, when they arrive I'll take a few snaps to see if folks approve!

btw, you know the difference between the splice and precision models?!
thanks

I hadn't ever looked at them before but man... they seem pretty similar. However, one definite difference is the pattern of the side colors.

Precision has two definite color panels of the same size, Splice seems to have two colors as well but one is much smaller than the other? Also, the color combinations seem to be different in general.

If anyone wants to explain further, or thinks they know better please speak up! :)

This is my Loose Freshwater s/14. I think I could do down a size. I might get a Booster since my package works down between my legs when I wear this suit. The red lines on my skin are from a tight square cut I was wearing before I took this pic.

I'm worried about the same phenomenon with my classics- "package between the legs" and unfortunately unless the XXS is definitely too small I don't think the XS classic boosterjock will fit. Oh well. We'll see.

Your leaner than I am so I think the XXS should be okay for you. I have a small butt and I think the Aussie XS would look better there for me than the S. The S really doesnt look that great in the butt...no shape to it. Looks like a diaper...ACK!!! The models on the Aussie web site wear them tighter.

So strange...the Aussies feel sorta tight but look loose. The Aqux and other Asian suits look tight but feel great. Maybe the difference between nylon and lycra??...I just dont know.

In the pic is how the Aqux looks in the butt. Looks maybe too small and tight? But feels uber comfortable tho. Holds the package great. I can wear it all day. It loosens up when its wet.

Anyway...thanks for all these cool posts!! Helps when you have to order this stuff from Australia. Man...return postage must be a killer!!

hey. the return postage is not that big.
i went to post office to check it out.
i thought it would be like 10 or 20 euros. and that is the price of a new swimsuit.
but no.
by normal mail it cost me 3 euros or something.
and im in portugal.
so it was good.
