There is a slightly different cut. I personally prefer age 15 - 16 (I'm 18) which is a size 32", compared to an adults 32". If your thin and tall, its better suited for you (where as an adults, say 26" assumes to thin because your short.) I also believe the butt is cut differently, more smaller, so if you have a small butt the 'junior' range might even fit better.

15 - 16 = 32"
13 - 14 = 30"
11 - 12 = 28"
9 - 10 = 26"
7 - 8 = 24"
