Traditionally in classic AB's I fit best in S Loose's and M in elastic waistband styles.Thom wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 6:28 pmLOL!
Hmmm, I did wonder if AB had a warehouse here in the U.S. But the text indicated Australia.
Gee. I hope the mediums I ordered aren't too big. What size are you in Speedo brand? What's your pants/jeans size? My recent pair of J Crew khakis were 32. Hollister jeans were 31, but they were stretch skinnies (that I like...).
The AB is the Competition Crew with the elastic waist model. It fits on the looser side, but nylon works best that way. It has the WondJock. I can wear it with or without. I like it better with. The suit fits just a bit tighter using the WJ, but it's still loose overall. I can't stuff all my stuff inside the WJ--either it's too small, or I'm too big--so it just holds partially from underneath, and that looks, feels, and works fine. The grey color is just right. The elastic waist cord is very long.

Re: Aussiebum Sale
Well they arrived a couple of days ago, no customs but strangely they came in a bag with a UK postage label on them.Scottiebum wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 3:33 pmJust bought a pair of Competition Crew Torquay, postage was almost as much as the speedos themselves! Hope I don't get caught by customs charges!
I love the look and feel of them but after a quick try on I think they are too small. When I get time to take a pic I will post here for an opinion!

An update: My 2nd Competition Crew order of the Brighton(aqua/white) and a Noosa (white/blue) arrived: Brought them home and tried: The Brighton (small) fits perfect; (leg openings only just a bit roomy); looks great! Can't wait to wear it. The Noosa (also small) fits much tighter, just like an earlier one I bought. So, typical AB: you can never be sure how the sizing will be!!phltanner wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 12:46 pmMy 1st AB order of the Competition Crew's arrived (From Carson, California): Shell Haven &Torquay. Had to lock my office door, strip down & try them on. They are sized like the Coober Pedee (gold/white) I bought in Nov, '21: bigger than my much older similar style smalls (quite bigger leg openings), so you want to downsize if you like them snug. I would try go to the XS. And these are the first AB's I've received with the elastic drawstring that ...:::sam:::... mentioned (still no elastic waistband).
With all this, now I may have to rub one out!!
These elastic drawstring acts like a relaxed elastic waistband: stretchy but not tight. However, I prefer the old Loose, with the drawstring untied, you'd get some gap/droop in front that can be fun!

BTW, after so many Aussiebum buys, I have a couple dozen, at least, that either don't fit or aren't my style. If the mailing isn't cumbersome or costly, I can make them free to a good home (bod!).
If interested, let me know, and I'll post pix or something.

Re: Aussiebum Sale
My order came, but I was unhappy to find half the items were not made in Australia but rather in China, PRC.
Guess I wasn't paying attention when ordering.

Re: Aussiebum Sale
FYI, they are having another 50% off sale currently. I noticed they no longer seem to hint at just how transparent their suits are. Hoping not too much. I went with a white Swish, and a gold competition crew.

The gold Competition Crew ("Cooper Pedee") is pretty transparent wet! But that's fun!

Another half price sale....

Showing some pics wearing your Aussie speedo competition crew would be very helpful. Re: Aussiebum Sale
The Original Classic 1.5 is back in the collection, in four colors: black, blue and bright white.
Any of you considering getting the white? (if you don't have it yet). Opinions on the transparency, when wet?

Re: Aussiebum Sale
I have older versions, and they are absolutely perfectly transparent when wet, wherever they touch skin! So much fun! You'll love them!
If you're not a complete exhibitionist (I'm middle ground), be discreet after emerging from the water, and you'll be OK. I wore my old, faded AB Mineral Stripes suit yesterday to swim laps at the neighborhood pool - certainly translucent showering before & after - producing some extended looks!
