Just Bought an *Original* Speedo Solar

Holy crap. I'm so pumped right now. I was just casually browsing eBay, as I often do, and I found an original navy speedo solar- the kind with actual 1-inch sides- new with tags, and for only nine dollars!

Given how old these suits are (at least 15 years), the fabric might be totally shot, but for nine bucks I snapped it up.

If it's in decent shape I'll post some photos once I get it.

Awesome! If it was kept in a box or a drawer, away from sunlight, I'm guessing the fabric is still in pretty good condition. I have one that has seen very little use and it still has its original stretchiness, and snug, contour hugging fit.

Congratulations!

Be very careful with old lycra. If it requires any *stretch* to put it on, it might get damaged.

That horrible sound of aged lycra dying ...

If you ever shop at Swimoutlet or Speedo's US website at all, they almost always have solars listed as a best seller. If that's the case, you have to figure that there's significant demand...
