I didn't think water polo was gay, but someone posted this on facebook.

I don't think it's gay, it's quite common for water polo players to pull off their opponents' speedos during games, just to distract them from the ball. People also say that's another reason why water polo players wear two pairs of speedos.

Well that's what i always thot. And i don't know where they got the underwater ballet stuff. It's a bunch of thrashing legs.... (I know they wear their suits tight. Theyd never get my new jammers off. Heck *I* can barely get them off....)

Hmm, what about football when they pile on top of each other - isn't it possible to make any sport look gay?

The second video gave me an idea for a workout in the pool. I'll be looking at it again.

Thanks Zee. There's an old joke "I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out." Guess you could say the same for water polo.

Waterpolo has to be one of the most physically demanding sports imo. I wish I could have the endurance to last in the pool like most of the players do but I never swam competitively. Ppl just call it gay bc its easy to ridicule due to homophobia of speedos in America.

True. Waterpolo players have to keep their legs moving constantly to stay above water. And then they still need more energy to play the game and yank off speedos. You'd need more endurance than in soccer or basketball.

Im tempted to join a waterpolo group/club for beginners to use it as a speedo outlet, but I dont know where to look for something like that.

Google "waterpolo clubs/associations in Texas." Maybe you'll find what you want.

Was googling different news stories about the upcoming Olympics teams and I found this one about the water polo team from a newspaper in California where they have been training. The story says the guys in their speedos have been
very popular with the ladies.

This pic is from the story, more pictures linked from there. Interesting isn't it how the competitive swimmers used to wear the smallest skimpiest briefs and the water polo players' speedos were always a little bit larger side measurement 4 or 5 inches, I always thought because the larger briefs would better resist being pulled off by underwater horseplay. Now of course the swimmers all wear the jammers and long john and even farmer john style suits, and the water polo players suits seem to have gotten a lot smaller.
