I personally think that tatts have gotten out of control. Bodies are wallpapered with designs that will all look faded and muddy in a couple years. I have a couple tatts myself, but am happy to say that I had the foresight to have them in places where they are pretty much covered when dressed (on my calf, butt cheek and shoulder) It is a fad and it seems that too many guys get them to "look cool". Considering that people like Cher, Charlie Sheen, Kelly Osborn are all having tatts removed, it seems the fad is fading. I know as an employer, I avoid anyone with visible body art while in uniform. Everyone I know that have them wish they had either passed or gone the route of out of sight so they are really a personal statement not a "look at me, I'm cool and fit in with everyone else". It isn't like blue hair or paisley shirts - this fad you take to the grave.
As a side note, my nephew went into plastic surgery and does nothing but tattoo removal -- he cleared $500,000 last year and has taken on two more to take care of the influx of those that regret having done them.

Think long before getting a tatt - - it is forever.

On one hand I think they can be pretty cool.

On the other, you're basically paying hundreds of dollars for some idiot to draw on you, and it won't come off!

I can't get past that shade of blue.

I have had four piercings, which I all have been able to remove within the minute when I didn't like to have them anymore.
But I can't think how I would feel if I couldn't just get rid of the drawings on my body if I wouldn't like to hav them anymore.
They usually don't get to look better over time either, but maybe that is not something people think of when have them done.

Is it true that if you get one, you'd want several?

Which reminds me - Damien, did you end up visiting a tattoo studio? And did you have any tattoos prior to starting this thread?
