speedo ski paddling

Hey guys,

I just spent a few days in Canberra on holiday, and the last day was absolutely brilliant. After wondering around the National Gallery, Portrait Gallery, High Court and old Parliament House, I decided it was time for a paddle on Lake Burley Griffin. I walked around for what seemed like hours, and eventually found a boat/ski hire place on the lake and rented out a surf ski. As there was no one with me to watch my bag, I had to give it to the staff behind the counter to mind. Overcoming a few nerves, I casually stripped down to nothing but my speedos and handed over my bag. Then it was a short walk to the ramp, where I jumped on the ski and was pushed out onto the lake by a young guy who worked there.

Paddling along the lake in just my speedos was a great feeling. I was free and unencumbered. I even managed to paddle out to an island with a small jetty (which was deserted) and jumped into the lake to cool off.

Most paddlers were wearing shorts and a T-shirt, but nobody said anything to me and I had the best time. Paddling a surf ski gives you a really good work out too, which is a bonus!
