Got back from a vacation at Atlantis Paradise Island a while ago.
Intended to wear Speedo Solars at pool and beach and mi-thigh swim shorts for water park. Ripped my shorts early the first day at the park (side seam so no public exposure) so I had the choice of buying a suit or wearing a solar at the water park. Chose the latter. Overheard a few comments and was told by one attendant that brief swimwear was not recommended on the slides because the tended to rip. Didn't see any other men in brief swimwear on the slides. They were in the minority at the beach and pool, but there were enough not to feel out of place. Even saw several other men at the fast food counter in speedos. Swimwear without shirts or cover ups is allowed at outdoor bars and full service restaurants also. Saw plenty of men and women in swimwear only, but no speedos. Strange thing is , you need to wear a shirt to walk through the hotel to get to the beach, even in the 2 beachfront buildings,so you have to keep track of a shirt all day, even though you don't need to put it on again until you go back through the hotel.
