There have been discussions in the past on this site about speedos in mainstream movies, and the conclusion is that it is rare. This thread is to examine the role of speedos and bikini underwear in straight porn.

I have noticed that even in hetero porn movies, it is very rare that a guy would be wearing a speedo in a “pool/beach sex” movie. The girl is wearing something tiny like a string bikini, but the guy is usually wearing knee-length board shorts and an oversize t-shirt. (The only speedos I’ve seen are in a few Japanese films.) Even beyond speedos, the guys are wearing baggy pants, and as far as underwear goes, they either wear boxers or go commando, while the girls wear very revealing tight outfits and scanty undies.

Has anyone else noticed this extreme bias towards the baggies, even in pornos? Has this been the result of the norm of the men’s fashions in general?

Firstly, welcome to the forum mate!!!

I completely agree with you that there aren't enough speedos in str8/mainstream porn. Even in gay porn there isn't enough representation of what is obviously popular amongst gay guys.

I've got some photos shoots in early January and I've specificially asked that the speedos stay on as long as physically possible.

I remember watching a porn vid where two girls were in a pool and a guy came to join them, only to have them ridicule him for wearing a square cut brief, so he went and changed into a ridiculous calf-length pair of boardies, that were removed soon anyway. Stupid huh.

Or he is blocked by other items so that the important parts are hidden.
