Great news, for Speedos wearers! For once Speedos is not being used as some negative comedic slam sight gag. In the sequel to "The Da Vinci Code", “Angels & Demons” Tom Hanks character Robert Langdon shows off his toned body wearing black Speedos while swimming laps in his Harvard pool.

Although Hanks is 52 years old, the actor is sure to delight Charlize Theron, who recently told Access Hollywood that she finds the actor’s backside very appealing. “He’s got a really, really good a--. It’s like on a shelf!” Theron previously told Access Hollywood. “

Oh Charlize, she’s a dear,” Hanks said of his “That Thing You Do!” co-star. “Any woman who would compliment your a-- is one to hold onto!”

“Angels & Demons” opens in theaters on May 15.

while this is a good thing im glad speedos are becoming prevalent in movies... i feel compelled to point out that angels and demons is a prequel to the da vinci code not a sequel

Sequel... prequel. Whatever. The point was that Speedos will be worn by a popular mainstream actor (who's over 50)and that it's not being used as some lame punchline. Afterall, this site is about Speedos not movies.

well actually, yes its based off a book that happened before da vinci code, but the movie people are making the movie a sequel to da vinci code, lol, thats hollywood for you

I saw an interview with Tom Hanks. He said they cut the part of the scene where he pulls himself out of the pool.

Ah well, looks we'll have to wait for the DVD release and hope they include the Speedo scene in the deleted scenes in the extras.......

ps.. thats not harvards pool... thats the belmont plaza olympic pool built in 1984 for the olympics in LA.. lol when i saw that movies i was like.. that looks familiar...

I got the info directly off an entertainment industry website. The point WAS a major star wore speedos in a major mainstream movie.
