Uploading photos - problem

Post by willycum » Mon Aug 11, 2008 12:45 pm

Hi - mature speedo fan here - I finally plucked up courage to upload some photos but when I tried to add the photos it said image was too big

My pics are taken on a 10 megapixel camera and each image is about 1mb (jpeg format) but ws says max is 256kb - what can I do?
Can someone help please?

Note from moderator: I moved this from the "Say G'day" area as this is more appropriate ...." - Scotty

Willycum - I've not seen this limit ... I know that the avatars have like an 80k (or so) limit - but not regular pics that I know of ... I'll have to experiment and see what I find out ...

Open it in Microsoft Paint, the paint program that comes default with Windows, go to the top and under image there will be something that says Stretch/Skew, shrink it down till its the right size, or you can try cropping out the background stuff to see if that will make it a smaller filesize.

This is what i do, hope it helps

Thanks for the advice, I will try again - maybe I could set my camera on a lower quality setting too.
I hope the results are worth waiting for!!
