Was wondering if anyone knows what are the good beaches in Provincetown, MA, to just relax and enjoy.

Thanks

Herring Cove Beach - It is a hike over a salt marsh that is sometimes partially submerged at high tide. Wear good shoes that can get wet.

The walk is worth it.

Herring Cove Beach is a 35-45 minute walk from town depending on where you wind up stopping. Many people bike part of the way, lock up their bikes, and walk the rest of the way. You can avoid the marsh by walking up the road to the part of the beach that has lifeguards and restrooms. That section of the beach also has more families. The farther away you get from the public facilities the fewer women and children you will see.

I have not been to the other beach, which I believe is called Race Point. I would recommend checking out Herring Cove one day and then spending a day at the Boat Slip to see which you prefer. No point in hiking all the way to the beach if the Boat Slip has everything you are looking for.
