Speedos + Triathlon Kit at Surf Llife Saving Event

I've just spent most of the last week in old-skool triathlon kit. Felt amazing! Lots of attention too, which was nice.......most of it positive!
I attended the British Life Saving Championships + got to compete in a few low-level events such as beach-sprints. A speedo + singlet is the compulsory uniform for all competitors!
One thing I love about these events is that no-one is ever in a hurry to get changed after the events [unless they're freezing cold after being in the Atlantic waters!]
I've also noticed several times, that even those who are not competing will get their competition kit on! Presumably to practice in, though they seem to just hang around talking.....
I really love wearing my tri-kit for beach-runs + swims anyway, as it feels great + looks hot - but getting to hang out in it afterwards, at the beach, club-house, cafe + bar is just awesome. These are serious sporting events, + no-one bats an eyelid, no matter what you're wearing.
I even got to swap an old Ironman Tri-Top that one guy really admired, for his competition vest which he'd finished with.
This was really cool, because I already have his team's speedo, so now I have the complete official uniform for his club!
It looks amazing, plus it's Official Surf Life-Saving Competition Kit! How can you get cooler than that? I seriously don't want to take it off!
