I found a YouTube video of the pool area. No speedos, but it looks large enough so you can do what you like in peace. I prefer the Ocean.

When we've been there, I've worn square cuts, but it's almost entirely boardies.

Welcome to Florida in advance! Unfortunately, I seldom see other speedos. I do agree, a female companion makes you feel more bulletproof to criticism, unless that female is your only critic. But since it's so touristy here, I wouldn't worry about it. If you're going to get noticed for not wearing board shorts, you might as well be comfortable and wear what you like.

That's my situation exactly. My wife and I go to the panhandle regularly, where I'm usually the only guy in a speedo. And she doesn't care for it.

When I'm in Orlando I frequent the YMCA in the village of Doctor Phillips, just NW of International Dr. My favorite Y in the country. An outdoor pool as nice as any summer Midwest municipal swim center. There, you'll find speedos, jammers and boardies on men, and cheeky 1-pieces and bikinis on ladies. They're swimming seriously and casually, sunning and everything in between. My favorite place to speedo.

Wife and I vacation in Florida every year. All I own are Speedos and Thongs. Worn them everywhere. Even had to get gas for the car, and the reader would not read the card at the pump. So, I walked in the gas station in Speedos, waited in line with about 15 people, paid for the gas, and went back out. I go to the car wash, and wash the car, and vacuum it in just Speedos. No one in Florida seems to care one bit. I have seen women walk into the grocery store in tiny bikini's, and I haven't done it in a Speedo, but I really want to.
