I know Dave wrote about owning a couple of pairs of Corka speedos a few years ago, but the website no longer works and the business seems dead. Does anybody know the history of Corka or why they shut down? And did any of you personally own Corka speedos?
It's a shame because I found them quite sexy.

JackLS,
You have a good memory mate. It was back in 2016 they were operating and I had 2 pairs.
I posted some pics on my blog -
www.AussieSpeedoGuy.org/corka-swimwear/
There have been a couple of guys try and make their own swimwear brands (Caussie and AquaDaks are two I offered to help out) but seems like AussieBum and BudgySmuggler are the ones that lasted.

I had two pairs too. The fit was OK at best but the logo was horrible. It cracked when the fabric stretched and proceeded to peal off soon after. They were not chlorine resistant either and basically were done after 2-3 months of swimming at the gym.

Quite a while back I got several pairs of cozzies from Ticker (with the great URL showmesometicker.com), 100% nylon like the original Speedos I'd worn as a kid through uni and beyond.
The company was founded by Australian Surf race champion, Hamish Cameron. Unfortunately they went out of business and there's no archive of their web site. I've still got two pairs, and love them.
Then I discovered Caussie, but then they went tits up. Along came Engine with their 100% nylon, but alas no longer.

I’m sad Caussie closed up shop.
