Hey all, moving to San Diego soon and looking for some tips on beaches that are good for speedo wearing. Any ideas?
A place for guys who love speedos to share pics and stories of their fun times in speedos.

West Street Beach at the south end of Laguna is gay friendly and therefore speedo friendly. Bit of a drive from SD. Black's Beach in San Diego speedo friendly. I've been to West Street and can confirm, but that was in 2009. Didn't get to Black's...has more difficult access according to this guide. The water temp at this time of year is COLD. Heck, when I was there in July, the water temp was only 70 or 71, about 21C. But hey, you're from Canada!speedostud wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 9:00 amHey all, moving to San Diego soon and looking for some tips on beaches that are good for speedo wearing. Any ideas?
SoCal is SoCal. As you observe, you can wear speedos just about anywhere, I've seen them at the beach near downtown Laguna, which is an older somewhat more conservative town, which once was something of an artist colony, (a shack on a 2000 sq ft lot is a million dollars now) I wore them when visiting very conservative friends who own a place on Victoria Beach. But then, they put up with me.Nike_brief wrote: ↑Sun Feb 13, 2022 9:12 amI visited blacks beach once and there were many other guys in speedos there. You could pretty much wear speedos at any beach in Southern California, and no one will say anything. You might get looks and feel strange vibes from people at some beaches, but you can wear them pretty much anywhere.
Thanks for the info. Hope to get there some time...assuming Cal doesn't totally go up in flames. The long term climate projections aren't very good right now, but you never know.SpeedoQuest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 14, 2022 2:24 pmI have been to Black’s Beach many times. You can wear anything you want or nothing at all. Getting down to the beach can be grueling if you use the cliff path at the glider port. It not as hard going down as it is coming NXG back up but the beach and water with the cliffs is worth the effort.
