Speedos in the Paper

G'day guys,
Last weekend I spend Saturday night down in Brisvegas with some friend and Sunday morning was a nice lazy affair. No, nothing naughty to report.
There was something interesting in the paper though which I forgot to tell you guys about. While we were sitting on the deck having a coffee and reading the paper, one of the inserts was lying there and had the photo below.
I kinda thought to myself, “What a shame the guy isn’t wearing a speedo.”

I saw it, thought about it and forgot about it. Maybe an hour later my friends wife threw the insert across the patio table and the front cover of the insert is the picture below…..
How great is it that the front cover was the guy in a speedo!
The wife made a comment to her husband that he should be wearing speedos because they are back in fashion.
Real men wear speedos… I’ve been saying it for years!!!

Now if that could be the case in Canada. At least make them mandatory at the pools.

I really think there has been a bit of a resurgence. Maybe it's a bit of confirmation bias but it seems to be the case to me. Nearly all men lap swimming are in speedos. Even teens are more commonly wearing the wide side trunks.. ala funky trunks.

I think Australia is way ahead in the game.
There needs to be a lot of breakthroughs when it comes to common speedo wearing, for both leisure and lap swimming.
Having said that, I believe Canadians are more open minded comparing to our American neighbours.

I have to say, I've seen a fair few Speedos whenever I'm in London. I've not seen it translate much out of the capital though

Do you think at least for Australia that part of that resurgence has to do with the current marketing campaign of Budgy Smugglers? They push the notion that brief type swimwear can be worn by guys with average “rigs”; not something reserved only for guys who are fit. They also promote this as a fun wholesome family thing; every family member from grandkids to grandparents in matching swimsuits. It seems to be working as you see people posting pictures of themselves and their family wearing matching patterns and young couples announcing they’re having a baby along with a picture of them in matching suits holding up one for the unborn baby. I’ve read many comments on Instagram where wives are writing something along the lines of “Oh, I have to get that new design for the husband and kids this Christmas.” Back when I was growing-up I would have never heard my mother say something like that or see my dad buying a pair of matching suits for us.
But, I am not in Australia, so my perspective is distorted from what I only see on the internet which may not reflect reality.

I also think speedos might be on the comeback! A couple weeks ago, I saw on a Los Angeles TV morning news program a live report from this year's junior lifeguard tryouts at the beach. They showed the start of a race where the group of about 15 or 20 young men (late teens to very early twenties) did a quick run down the beach and back then immediately dove into the surf for an ocean swim to the end of the pier and back. Not only was it great that life seems to slowly be returning to normal (last year's event was cancelled due to lockdown) but even BETTER YET, all of the guys except one were wearing little black speedo briefs! And swim caps. And nothing else! The one holdout was wearing knee length jammers. It wasn't too long ago when ALL of them would be wearing jammers at best, or even loose swim trunks or board shorts. But they were in small black speedos, running, diving and swimming and it was really great to see it.

Nothing makes me more horny than wearing speedos infront of hot women just sends me into a state of arousal thinking about what they are thinking when they see me wearing them
