Waterparks in Orlando

In January this year I was thinking about my summer holiday. One of my wishes is going to Orlando and visiting Disney World and Universal, and I would also like to visit the waterparks Vulcano Bay, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. But then came Covid-19 and I decided not to go this year. Maybe I go next year or later.

However, I have still a question about visiting those waterparks. Is it a good idea to wear my Speedo in these waterparks? Or would it be better to wear a square cut or jammer? I hope I don't to wear board shorts, and if it is needed I want to wear very short ones while wearing nothing under it.

I would love to go and visit Florida. My idea is a speedo under some short swim shorts when I visit the water parks.

Alton towers here in the UK do not allow Speedos or square cut as they think it is not fair on the other guests at the park having to look at your junk. You can always ask at the gate on your way in. At least you will have shorts as a back up.

Probably NOT a good idea to wear speedos at one of these water parks in Orlando. Admittedly, I have never been to one. But as someone who frequents the beaches of East Florida between North Florida to Central Florida, I've never seen another speedo other than mine on the beach.

The water parks' websites say to dress family friendly. Additionally, two are owned by Disney, so those are probably going to be even more conservative.

As suggested above, maybe wear some shorts over the top. Then visit one of the not-to-distant nude beaches in central or South Florida, or even Miami Beach, if you want to fit in with wearing a speedo.

I wore my speedo to Blizzard Beach a few (seven or eight?) years ago. No problems. I did put shorts on over them when walking around for food or between places.

Nude beach ? Where on the east coast of FL ? I’ve been to Playalinda Beach and Apollo then all the way down to Haulover too. Just trying to make sure I’m not missing out!LOL

Any speedo friendly beaches in Jacksonville? I’ve swam at your local YMCA with the big screens on the pool deck, pretty impressive plus the record board has all the crazy impressive Olympic names on it too! Great pool - FYI.

I have been on Disney Cruises and been to Disney resorts and always wore a speedo. I've not been to the water parks yet. You'll definitely be the only or one of the only wearing a speedo, but I don't feel like you have any risk of being denied. Plus, I've read that all Disney properties are a popular destination for international travelers, which may be coming from places where speedos are more commonplace. I don't think they would be turning people away for a speedo.

They do say to dress family friendly, which I interpret as no thongs or excessively revealing swimwear, and no graphics or text on clothing that would be sexual, drugs, violence etc. I would say AussieBums might be out. But my argument is that Olympic diving is a family friendly event, and divers wear speedos, so speedos are family friendly.

I live in Orlando and have passes to some of the watermarks. I have seen speedo almost every time I go. Its normally 1-3 guys but they are there. During certain seasons I see more speedos/short shorts when more international visitors are at the parks (5-10 guys). I have has speedo on two times when visiting the water parks with no issues but mostly wear short tight suits.

I already thought that Speedos are not very common in these waterparks, but how about square cuts or jammers?

For the same reason I avoid swimming in pools with swim up bars, I do not visit water parks. Tell me, like the tipsy guzzlers at swim up bars, how many of the overexcited kids at water parks do you think will get out of the water to find a bathroom to take a wee?

People peeing in public pools goes on no matter where you swim. But you don’t think about the sweat, skin flakes, dandruff, hair, poo particles, saliva, snot, ear wax, dirt from outside, and plasters that fall off in the water.
That’s why you have chlorine in the pools. Unfortunately this is the down side of swimming in any pool, public or private.

I would visit the water parks website to check the dress code or even email them before you are due to visit and give them examples of the type of swimwear you were thinking of wearing. They can only say yes or no.

You may well be only one of five wearing a speedo, but go for it. Stick with a full coverage brief (7cm or more at hip) or a square cut, without a package enhancing front.

I went to Volcano Bay at Universal in late August this year. Wore a Speedo but also wore a UV protection shirt (I burn pretty easily) -- no problem.

I saw one other guy wear a Brazil-style sunga the day I was there too.

"Family friendly". Right. Tell me all the teenaged girls and young women aren't running around in cheeky bikinis. Hell the typical girls swim team practice at any Y across the land is a moon show worthy of pornhub. So a problem with speedos on dudes ANYWHERE? I don't want to hear it.

I’ve been to the watermarks there over the years. You’ll see a couple speedo but not too many. Usually tourists/Brazilians.

Go during Gay Disney. Hundreds of guys in speedos. pool parties, Typhoon Lagoon with 98% in speedos, dancing at night in Speedos, I was hard all the time.

That sounds like it would be a hot event. For me it will not be the intention to visit a pool party (nothing wrong with that), but I would like to be free which kind of swimwear I could wear without problems.

As long as the brief isn’t constructed to specifically make your dick look big or have your ass hanging out, you’ll be fine.

I went to Volcano Bay last summer and wore a speedo all the time I was there. Felt a bit nervous at first but no one really batted an eye -- especially since there were girls walking around wearing bikinis and thongs with less material than my suit!

ROFL! It's true. I'm a mile from a beach in SoFL in a moderately conservative county. A lot of younger women wear next to nothing. You'd think it was South Beach. Of course their boyfriends are waterlogged in shorts below their knees. Just regular shorts, not necessarily board shorts. And they wear cotton briefs underneath.

It's a miracle they don't sink, but most never get into water above their waist. In fact, the county is having a learn to swim campaign for kids, since many don't know how. Our local high school has a nice pool. I drive by during school hours, and never see kids using it. It's closed to the general public.
