Silly torso question

Seeing pictures of guys in speedos I’ve noticed that some guys wear them very low while others look like they are wearing them rather high yet look as though if they lowered them their penis would show. So I’m wondering how much variation there is between waist level and penis level. So to answer this question, what is the distance between the center of your belly button to the top of the base of your penis. It will be interesting to see how much this varies. My measurement is 8 inches or about 20cm. You have to stand straight though because bending one way or the other will lengthen or shorten the measurement. It’s easiest to do it while looking in a mirror.

Thank you. I should have mentioned that I am 6’3”. I’m surprised that being nine inches shorter than me you’d have a greater distance there.

This was an interesting question you posed. I was surprised as well. I prefer wearing narrower waist what ride lower. Otherwise on me speedos look like they don’t fit right.

I also like narrow sides and a low rise. I like the look of that.

I do like low rise also. The Aussiebum Loose are so good like that.

Is that to say 16cm from center of belly button to base of penis and 6” in length?

I’m 5’10” and the distance is 7””. This is a really good point BJE as it’s obviously why some cuts look better on some guys but I’d never worked that out before

My height is 177cm/70" tall. The navel/penis base measurement is 18.4cm/7.25".
However, I would think the more meaningful measurement would be from the center of a line drawn from top of the left hip bone to top of the right hip bone, and then down to the base of the penis. The hip bone is where the suit usually wants to ride (at least on me), which may or may not be correlated with the position of your navel. I'll check that another day.

I was just being a dick.
16cm from the base of penis to belly button. Maybe 16.5cm.

Thats true! I wear the tops of mine just in the hollow above the top of the femur.

Wow, thanks Sam. That illustrates it perfectly!
Slacks and jeans always work down to that area too, no matter how tight my belt is. They feel the most comfortable there too.

Top of hip is super high, that's like an inch from my navel and would look like this
(Or am I mistaking your "hip" for top of pelvis?)
I'm for Speedos being as low cut as possible.
High cut is for covering an 80's bush.

I was referring to the hip bone (femur) at the socket. I'd say the draw string of my speedos is at the socket level. See Sam's illustration. I'm wearing A&F chinos there right now, and they're all but falling off my butt. They're well below the top of the pelvic bone. I think the suit in your pic is riding close to the top of the pelvic bone. I'm not terribly muscular so I can feel them. Also, the design of the suit is a factor. The suit in this pic isn't a speedo. A true speedo cut is designed to ride at the hip socket level. A long time ago, I read an article about the man (who, IIRC, was gay and Australian) who designed the speedo suit, and that was his intention.

Interesting question/thread! My measurements are very similar to those of Scottiebum’s. Perhaps it's a Celtic thing...
Anyway, here are my measurements:
I'm 5'8" tall, and the measurement from belly button is also 18cm/6.5".

Maybe there is some sort of Golden Ratio going on. For those unaware, the golden ratio is found many places in nature, including the human body.
Also, your study may be skewed due to differences in weight, as it relates to the accumulation of fat at the base of the penis and curvature of the lower torso.
