Any wrestlers out there?What's the deal with singlets?Do you wear anything under them or wear a jock?

I have often wondered about that myself.
I think this wrestler isn’t wearing anything under his singlet.

Just hard to believe the same coaches that have you wear jock for basketball and football day leave everything off for wrestling.

When I wrestled, everyone wore jocks.

I thought it looked fake but thought what the heck. Lol

Back in my day, my HS team had some contrasting color, well, "leggings" you'd call them today, worn under the standard singlet. They were a heavy nylon--hot and borderline movement-constrictive. HATED them. So one match I said, screw it, not wearing 'em. Felt quick and limber as a cat and promptly won a decision. Told my revelation to the team, but none of them abandoned the tights. Either old habits die hard or they were worried about the package outline.

I was on the wrestling team in 7th grade. We wore singlets with nothing underneath. I was just hitting puberty at the time so there wasn’t much going on, just felt uncomfortable next to some of the other kids who showed more of a bulge. I hated it!

I think a lot of guys wear these briefs under their singlet. They look like they might also be comfortable for regular gym use.
