Question for the Straight Guys

This is a question for the straight guys regarding female sexuality i.e. the sexuality of the women you've been lucky enough to meet and/or bed.
The question is ... do women, um, actually enjoy sexy fun time in the sack?
I ask this question because, as a gay man, I haven't had any experience with girls. I grew up in a very religious household and a fairly conservative school environment. And I honestly got the impression (from my mother and male authority figures) that males are (supposedly) sex-mad and women just do it for babies and/or to keep hubby from straying ...
I know. Sounds sexist, right? But do, um, women actually DO IT for pleasure/recreation? Do women get horny like guys get horny? I can't see how heterosexual relationships would survive for long if the woman has no sex drive of her own?
My father, who has only been with two women in his life, says females do get horny, but only at certain points in their cycle i.e. near ovulation? Is that right?

It depends, I've been with a lot of different girls. But I think it all goes back to this, I believe girls have the libido just as guys do, but the difference is the way they show they are horny/want some then guys, and how they percieve sexual attraction in general, although in the end it is the same as with guys and they too can be horny as hell and it isn't impossible for chicks too, to find the ones who are looking just for casual sex, not serious relationships. I've been with girls that are really horny like all the time, where we would get to pound ourselves 3-4 times a night. And I've been with girls who didn't really show that they're horny that much when you look upon at first, but can be real spitfires when when the heat is up. It's just one of those things that guys do one way, girls do it in another way, but the bottomline is the same. (I tried to answer your question, in the shortest possible way, yet to try and make myself as clear as possible.)

I do think the male in any species has stronger sexual urges. Look at all the evidence from prostitution to the porn industry. However, I feel the female had the same urges but much less on average. There are many factors that can play into this.

I think that women can be as horny as men, but there is a tabu on it.
If a man is horny very often and has sex with several women, he will be a kind of hero. But if a woman is horny very often and has sex with several men, they call her a slut. So why may a women not have sex every day with another guy if she likes that?

Some enjoy it tremendously and can't get enough.

Again, it depends on the woman but I've met some that are more horny than most guys. I've been approached by woman who come right out and make it very clear that they want me to bed them ASAP and as long and as frequently as possible. They are a LOT more forward than I would ever be. It might be socially risky for a man to be that forward with a woman, but the reverse seems to be totally socially acceptable. How many female teachers have made the news for bedding their male students. I can't see how heterosexual relationships would survive for long if the woman has no sex drive of her own?
Some don't for that very reason. Heterosexual relationships work best if both have similar sex drives.

It also depends on the woman's age (I guess this goes for men, too)- my wife isn't nearly as horny as when we started dating seven years ago. She's had a kid since, too, and I think that changes their libido a bit.
But as the others have said, some women are super horny, others aren't as much, but I think a general rule of thumb is that men are generally hornier than women. I'm usually (but not always) the one who initiates sex.
And back to your original question- my wife does enjoy her fun time in the sack. I make it a point to make sure she has an orgasm every time we have sex- this often requires the use of a vibrator, since many women can't have an orgasm from vaginal intercourse alone. But I checked my ego at the door a long time ago and I try to make sure she's having fun.

There's another theory: It's dietary.
Wedding cake severely diminishes their libido, and whatever it is they serve at the first/second baby shower(s) finishes it off entirely.

The only woman who couldn't keep up with me had issues from abuse. All the others, I have never had to initiate sex. I can honestly say I picked up the phrase "it's only 'kinky' the first time you try it" from a woman.
It's always interesting to hear questions like this post from the other side of the fence.

The only woman I’ve been with is my wife of 30 years. We are in our fifties and we have sex at least every other night. Sometimes more. She gets horny too but not so much as me. She’d be happy with half as much sex and I’d be happy to have twice as much sex. She enjoys it and has fun. She wouldn’t like going very long without it.

I feel quite sorry for your parents, if one or both of them were anti-sex then they were both missing out on a lot of good dirty fun.
Yeah, I think girls like sex. It's certainly the impression that I've got from sleeping with a few
plus some random encounters- been groped in public by girls, the girl who was hitting on me in a nightclub who couldn't get enough of my sweaty armpits... All situations where they weren't performing to any stereotype of how a female should behave. I think society is more sexually liberated and less judgemental than at any time in my life but there is still a double standard where men who are promiscuous are conquering heroes while promiscuous girls are to be looked down on. I LIKE loose women and think we should have more of them. When I was in my late 20's early thirties and single I fancied myself as a bit of a stud but I mostly got to screw men, even though my preferences at the time were kind of 50:50. It was a lot easier for men to get laid in gay bars and saunas because it's socially acceptable for men to be horny and open about their needs, this was pre-Tindr so girls didn't really have a platform for anonymous fucks. Maybe things are more equal now but I'm taken so I'm not on that pitch anymore.
I think your Dad was on the money with one idea though- that girls horniness is related to their monthly cycle. It makes sense for them to be randiest when they are most fertile. But the girlfriends I've had have been on the pill and that is designed to mess up their hormones a bit so I didn't notice any regular cycle of being a horny totty.
