I'm disgusted by all this spam too. But I'm unhappy with the fcat that I've offered to be a moderator and help out and I've received no reply so far. If I'm not mistaken, both you and I Justin88 were brought up to serve as moderators. This is an awesome forum and I'd love to help out. But it seems my willingness to help has gone unnoticed and isn't appreciated.

The spam really is getting a bit much.

You'd be an excellent moderator.

Jace and i have both offered to help with spam too but never get a reply from Dave.

I'm more than happy to be a moderator.

Have a look at the Say G'day section. It is more packed with spam than the average built in an Asian Speedo!

Hey guys,

The spam is a pain and we are working on it. Kip is going to find an update to the anti-spam stuff that has been working well until recently and I have been deleting and banning the spammers.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to be on this forum 24/7 so sometime spam will be here for a little while until I get a chance to delete it. 95% of the spam is in the 'Say G'day if you are new here' area.

As for the moderators, I received all your feedback - there was lots which was a great sign. Right now I'm in the middle of launching a new site and am spending 14hrs+ a day getting it ready. Hopefully in a week or two that will be completed and I can get to the list of things that I have been neglecting (adding new moderators here being one of those).

he/she/it is still doing it as we post our messages. This is ridiculous.

This spammer is now over 1.3% of all posts on the ENTIRE board.

I have experienced that some boards require a personal message to the moderator first, in order to gain access to the site.

I wonder why spammers are aiming for specifically THIS site..

An excellent question. In the world of spammers I guess this board is an easy target.
