Some people have commented on my profile pic because of its obvious display. Just to be clear, I am a straight dude. I don't have anything against anyone that is gay or even compliments on my photo, but I just wanted to make it known that I like wearing speedos and like the way I look in them. If I am showing a bulge in my photo, I am proud of it. Granted when I am wearing a speedo at the beach, it's not like that at all. I took that pic because I was impressed that even I looked like that. We're all men here and what guy doesn't like having a good package? I'm just hoping that women enjoy the view, but that seems unlikely. Eh doesn't matter, speedos make me happy regardless.

Couldn’t have said it any better! I’ve seen countless pictures of straight guys who go commando in shorts and sweats because they are proud of what they have and don’t mind showing it off. It’s similar to guys wearing spandex pants to the gym to show off their gains. Men express themselves in many ways to accent what they’re proud of, straight, gay, purple or blue. I personally would never assume someone was gay because they post a full pouch photo as their profile pic. I often find that the ones who put us down do so because of their own insecurities. Let me be clear...I am NOT insinuating or assuming this specifically about the comments on your photo, nor about the commenters. Just in life as a whole.

Well put Shadowmn! You’ve expressed my thoughts as well. The forum I hope helps rid the stereotype of all men being homosexual if a speedo is worn. ( not that there’s anything wrong with that) !!
Women have breasts and some even a “toe” and are a accepted part of society.
It is refreshing to see vids and pics of Europeans ( other places too) at the beaches or anywhere else with speedos as common as the sand.
I hope the USA has started to accept and transition to be more comfortable with it.

I wish it would be normal that all men would be proud of their bulge and would show it in a Speedo. Then there wouldn't be all those annoying remarks about Speedos.

I agree with shadowmn's thoughts too. And this response from DutchSpeedoLover. It seems, that the bulge is the single most thing that the haters point to, make fun of, mock, giggle at, criticize, and otherwise object to regarding speedos. Whether men are proud of their bulge or not, I just wish that other men and women wouldn't pay so much attention to it, at least, if they don't find it appealing.

I’m straight too but when I post a picture on Instagram regardless of how much I’m wearing it’s almost exclusively men (mostly gay) who like and comment. It seems like women are more timid than men in giving compliments.

I agree. Need to update my pic tho.

Was just laying out in my yard, but I need to find that one spot where my neighbors can't really see me to feel comfortable. Wish I could just hang out in the yard all day with a couple beers and sun in my speedos, but that is frowned on, unforubately.
