Thoughts on new Aussiebum Catch

I just saw these on the Aussiebum website, and was curious to hear what others thoughts would be on these. I understand that whenever you're walking to/from the beach or pool it is easy to just throw a pair of shorts on over top of a speedo, but it doesn't help them dry very well. What are your thoughts on these? At first I thought this is just another way for gay guys to show off themselves (sorry if you took that offensively), but then it got me thinking that girls will wear beach cover ups that are completely sheer too. I put some photos of the aussiebum, as well as a photo of a similar style cover up that I've seen girls wearing around when I'm at the beach or a resort.

Interesting. The website says it’s for parties lol add a personal style over ur fav pair of speedos. Don’t see the point of having it though. Hmmm

I honestly could see myself wearing this at a beach party, considering like I said that women would be wearing a very similar thing. With that said, I cannot see wearing this at any other party, unless it's one where already walking around in just a speedo would be deemed acceptable. I am still a little lost on what to think of this.

I can see how the look would work for girls - it's coy and flirty, and plays up to a woman's curvy silhouette. But on guys it doesn't really work. It just looks like he's wearing these really dodgy shorts.

lol I mean no offense to people who like Andrew Christian but urgh they are so trashy and I actually like AussieBum I just don't want a brand I like to turn trashy.

As to the shorts, yuck. Not for me at least. I'm all for seeing girls in fishnet "cover-ups", of course, but they're obviously wearing them to still have a measure of provocativeness, even when they're "covering up" their bikinis. It's all about being sexy. It's a certain kind of girl that would wear that type of cover-up, not all girls would. The ones that do are still in exhibitionist mode. Same thing applies to any guys that would wear these fishnet shorts, and I doubt that most straight guys are inclined to.
