Speedos in public

Post by blueflinch » Sat Nov 04, 2017 1:09 pm

Brisbane is the only state capital in Australia that doesn't have a beach. But we have an artificial beach/series of manmade lagoons called "South Bank".

The last two weekends I've stripped down to my black Billabong speedos at South Bank for a swim and no funny looks. Not many guys wear speedos. But most people are also too busy having fun in the sun to worry about other visitors. Although I overheard one young woman in a bikini top talking to her female friend, "How do my boobs look?"

South Bank is beautiful indeed. It was quite busy yesterday.

GC is probably the best beaches nearby. :P

I feel like my image of Australia may have gotten unrealistically skewed by all the internet pics of Aussie lifesaving clubs!
