My recent experience selling unwanted swimwear & underwear

Recently I sold quite a few pairs of unwanted swimwear (speedo style) and underwear online. I listed them as used and washed. All buyers were guys, and the majority of the buyers ended up asking me to wear them for a few days first, and to email the photos of me modelling in them. Some buyers even asked me to "stain" them in the pouch area. I'm selling them because I no longer like the colour or style, but most buyers didn't really care about the brand, size, style or colour; they just wanted something to play with I guess. (All my swimwear are AussieBum and all my underwear are Calvin Klein.) I was a bit disappointed, that not everyone has a good taste of speedos or underwear.

I've achieved my "sales target" so far. That's one positive thing to be happy about.

Have only been asked to wear once in the UK, more often for pics. My answer to that or any other requests is that they are washed ready for despatch.

Thanks for sharing your story. I have been looking to sell and recently discovered eBay has an adult section for this. Have a few suits that never really got worn and a lot of underwear that served their purpose, however briefly (pun intended), or just didn't fit quite right and are taking up too much space.

What was the sales target?

"Sales Target" was to get rid of unwanted pairs without losing too much money, comparing to their purchasing prices. In fact I nearly broke even overall. They sat in my wardrobe, occupied space and upset me. I think it's a good idea if you can sell your unwanted pairs and make others happy at the same time. You just have to be prepared that some buyers may have "additional requests". Some buyers voluntarily offer to pay extra to get their pairs dirty, although mostly for underwear and not so much for swimwear. Sometimes a photo of you in it showing your bulge can attract higher bids. And you will have to be comfortable with the idea that some buyers will use them for erotic purposes (unfortunately this is the reality, whether they tell you or not).

I personally will never buy any second-hand underwear or swimwear from others.
