Speedo friendly places in NYC

I'll be in town for a week and looking for a place to swim length and more... Can anyone recommend some food place in Manhattan or around?

Sandy hook beaches are awesome--they are in Highlands NJ. You can take the ferry over.
Let me know when you are coming over--always looking to hang out with someone at the beach, as Im usually by myself.

Hey adidasguy,
Most NYC public pools have a designated lap swim section so there are typically a handful of speedos (among a strong majority of dork shorts) each time I go - but you won't likely be alone if you wear a speedo. I've been going to Astoria Park Pool (in Queens) recently, I think its one of the nicest city pools (and would be happy to meet up and swim a bit with you if you want to check it out with a local) Make sure to bring a lock for your locker though, they won't let you in without one.
As far as beaches go, since NYC is so international there is fair number of speedos at each of them: Rockaway Beach, Coney Island beach etc... though the only place you'd likely find a majority of speedos would be at Jacob Riis beach (all the way East/left when looking at the ocean) as its NYC's 'gay beach.' Just as many speedos there as out on Fire Island... but thats a ways out on LI.
