I was struck by this section in this week's Target newspaper circular. Men's swimwear. Particularly the ones on the bottom row, which have a little note on the far left bragging about their "5 1/2 inch inseam". First time in decades that I've noticed the relative shortness of the length of men's swimwear being a selling point. Are American men not afraid to expose their fucking knees anymore? If so, can some exposure of the thigh be coming next? Are the hems of men's swimwear finally heading in the right direction again, i.e., upward?

Re: Men's Swim Trunks Getting Shorter??
One day while shopping I asked the the store owner if they had "something shorter" in regards to swimwear. He said no, but he's been getting a lot of request. Even at stores such as Eddie Bauer have had complaints according to one sales clerk I talked with.
I personally find it very hard getting any kind of shorts, swimwear, cargo shorts, or walking shorts without being knee length. For a guy like me with short legs those shorts fit me past my knees which is just not a flattering look.
I hope that shorter shorts are not a trend, but a regular option for everyone both there all the time.
I hope this made sense. I had a lack of sleep and need more coffee.

Lucky or unluckily depending upon how you view it. Because I’m 5 foot 9 inches, but have a waist of 28 to 30 inches. Nearly all the board or water shorts that fit always tend to stop above my knees, even if they are of the knee length variety.
Or to put it another way, because I look stupid in supposed knee length board shorts. Speedos, square cuts and jammers are a much more practical option.

Dive,
I live in Minnesota, and oddly, that wasn't in our Sunday paper, but a nice catch. Weird though, you can only get the shorter hem lengths online, not at the stores so I wonder if it something they are trying out?
On another positive note, running shorts have reached the shorty length that they were in the 80's, when the speedo was more worn here in the States.

Let's keep it brief.
