Who likes waterslides?

Post by Baltspeed » Sat Jan 03, 2015 3:38 pm

Waterslides are nowadays installed in a lot of indoor and outdoor-pools. I'm very keen to use them in all variations. I take them as a kind of workout and use them to make speed as fast and as often as possible. At several glides it is necessary to have an ass-brake with the speedos by safety-reasons. A lot of mine have got a whole by doing so  But mostly I pull them down from the ass to keep more speed in case of contact.
Does anybody else use them too as part of workout or only for fun and how do you run them?

After I was embarrassed about no responses I 'll go to answer on my own thread. I can hardly imagine that no one of our speedo mates hasn't used waterslides.
From me now a picture of an old speedo that I kept for memory, that was damaged after a lot of contacts on waterglides.

I thought I had typed a reply. I don't know where it went. Maybe I was hallucinating.

My question was, "what are waterglides?". I googled the term and only came up with lubricants. But I'm guessing that waterglides are another term for "water slides" as we call them here in North America. I expect that not too many dudes wear speedos to go down a water slide here in North America, although I'm guessing a lot more do in Europe, Asia, and South America. I think it would be a fantastic experience to drop down a water slide while wearing a speedo. But looks like it would be pretty rough on the Lycra. Maybe a nylon suit would stand up better to the abuse.

Been to two Waterparks. Never saw a single Speedo. Had mine on under my shorts. :(

Dive, not sure about the nylon either ... it would probably need to be a more expensive poly blend suit. And really snug-fitting to get the full effect! ;)

Oh my goodness! Note to self: always bring an extra suit!

On my last cruise, I went the whole trip wearing a speedo, and I didn't see a single other speedo with the exception of the last day in the spa.

This summer I have season tickets to a amusement park that has an attached water park. I'm looking forward to zipping down the slides in my speedo!

That picture is one of my biggest fears about wearing my suits to a water park. I've combatted this by wearing cheap, replaceable suits that I won't mind if they get torn. Recently, that's meant suits that I buy on eBay for about $10, so it's not a huge loss if they're destroyed by the end of the day.

The last time I went to a waterpark and went down the slides, I wore the leaugue swim wear by AussieBum. Here's the link in case noody understands what I am referring to: http://www.aussiebum.com/swimwear/league-17-marine/3489

I spent a few hours with friends. I was only ridiculed by 1 young fellow. But we did see another guy in a swim brief, but we could tell he was a water polo player.

I do like water slides, only go on them if I am wearing shorts. Problem with speedos is if it is a quick slide you go on wearing speedos come off wearing a thong and flossing.
Haven't ripped any on a slide yet tho.
If you wear speedos on a water slide may I suggest Waterpolo Speedos?
They are made to tackle any punishment other players can dish out. Just a thought.
Love speedos, running shorts, rugby shorts, Aussie rules footy shorts.

I've encountered the beginnings of the "floss" issue, but that just comes with the territory and nobody will bat an eye about fixing the suit. I'm interested in trying a water polo suit, but every time I see one, it's super expensive!

I love water slides but I done wear a speedo when using them. At a water park I go to occasionally they have the winding tube slides and also two speed slides which are open rather than enclosed. You drop so fast it feels as though your body is lifting off the slide and in free fall. It's breathtaking for an old man like me but it's also an adrenaline rush.

I do enjoy water parks. Just never gone to one wearing only a speedo. I love the newer drop slides where they put you in an enclosed tube and then the floor drops out from under you. A bit tense, but still amazing.

I tried one of those about a year ago for the first time and they are so much fun!
