Let's get back into speedos hey guys?

I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing. It is all about diversity. I'm not into thongs, g string, jockstraps (I do own one lol) so I do not post/reply on such posts.
As we are all different here, some of us like girls, some of us don't. Some like skinny twinks. Some just love muscle bears yumm hahaha

I kind of get your frustration, Ricardo, but I think the whole genre is wide enough to be inclusive of everyone's specific interests. There's lots of stuff on this forum that I'm not really into. Encountering pics of dudes going full frontal with their schlongs poking out of their suits, or even completely exposed being the top of the list. But I just move on quickly and I know that it is a primary interest of lots of the members here, so... whatever. For me, the primary interest are Speedos, mostly as swimwear. And dive wear. And sun tanning wear. That's why I keep checking out the forum. And I sometimes post stuff that I'm really into that skews more towards speedos as swimwear rather than just something skimpy covering up what everyone is really interested in most, and the posts get largely ignored, but that's OK. I'll just keep contributing what I like most, and not worry about the stuff that doesn't do much for me. It's all good. The best way to move the needle back to your specific interest area is to post a lot of stuff. I'm eager to see it.

Totally agree with ricardo, this is getting annoying! It only seems an excuse for these people be able to fulfill their exhibitionist desires as they use any tread to post about those out of topic stuff.

I’m going to be a little torn on this one … especially where I have posted several pictures of myself in several swim thongs, a pair of bike shorts, and more recently, a really cool jockstrap that I have added to my personal picture collection. I apologize for offending anyone.

Yes, there are and always will be the hard-core athletic individuals who wear a Speedo for purely conventional reasons, the fun-loving individuals that wear Speedos for pleasure and enjoyment, and a lot of people somewhere in between. I fall in all three categories by the way. It is the sharing of the love of this swimwear that is the bond that keeps us here.

But, there are two realities here. First and unfortunately, the Speedo wearing population is declining. The Speedo posting population is declining even more, the Speedo picture posting population is dwindling, and the Speedo picture posting comments are diminishing even more. Sometimes, I think to myself, why even post, why spend the time posting a picture?

The second, I have a hunch that a lot of Speedo-wearing individuals MAY be more inclined to wear other types of under apparel. I know I do. My fascination with all sorts of underwear, jocks, thongs and sporting goods in all sorts of material including cloth, lycra, rubber, leather and anything else is absolutely insatiable and endless.

Unfortunately, my Speedo-wearing opportunities are limited to the pool to do laps, the short summer season at the beach and in the yard sunning myself. And yes, I know my Speedo's can run on the small side ... ok tiny ... ok, one is unbelievably microscopic. I love to expose skin (and share). Again, I hope I do not offend. That is not my intention.

It's not enough. I need something else ... I need more.

Maybe we need a non-Speedo section where people can post and visit if they want, and pass over if they so choose.
I do know if we rely only on purely Speedo-only posting, and Speedo-only pictures and Speedo-only comments, this place will continue to be very quiet like it has been of late.

While I appreciate the odd cheeky pic personally, I'd like it more if people just kept it to speedos, there's a few threads that people have started about speedos that someone else just bombs with their own pictures of stuff I don't want to see, THAT is annoying :/

For me the main topic of this forum should be related to Speedos.
I don't have a problem if some threads have an other subject, but the most important rule should be: stay to the topic of the thread. In that way it is easier to skip threads that are not related to a topic of your interest.

I am inline with franks and also agree with diveguy - full frontal schlongs are not the thing I enjoy seeing on the Speedo forum, even if you stretch the speedo fetish into any Spandex/Nylon theme - which often comes with underwear and other athletic apparel.
From my experience - I rarely met pure speedo guys, most of the people have the speedo fetish as a part of more complex mindset.

And yeah - I am sure that there are people who are only into speedos and other who are not "into" speedos but wear just speedos and don't care about thongs and spandex wear.

Anyhow, if this forum is kept non-explicit - I think it'll be OK, not matter the apparel, which is used to cover your bum and schlongs

I try to avoid topics that i'm not interested in so I do appreciate when threads are not hijacked.

Speedo talk and pics are what I come here for and enjoy. Of course other things will be discussed, but as long as the majority of chat is about Speedos i'm happy.

None of this I find bad. I mean we are all here because we like speedos, but incidentally we also like other gear that happens to be equally sexy as speedos. What I do find distasteful are the enlarged pictures of peoples junk or that they are wearing something that is disturbingly too small and it looks bad.

I know I am going to get a lot of shit for what I have posted but that's my opinion on the matter.

I second your opinion!! As I posted before, if you want to talk about other stuffs, begin a new topic, do not impose those thing on the ones that have nothing to do wit the topic.

My love for speedos actually came from a love for low rise briefs so I don't see a problem with other topics, I just don't look at topics I'm not interested in.

That's the point! You don't look at topics you are NOT interested in hut people are using posts about speedos to publish these other stuffs that NOT everyone is interested in.

Just scroll past it or post something to stay on topic. I don't think its worth getting upset.

Ricardo, you have definitely started a conversational conversation that is succeeding in a friendly manner, which goes to show the maturity of our membership!

You have generated responses that both justify the posting of thongs (which by the way Fletch, your collection is one of the best!), and that of swimming briefs. Yes, this forum is for swimming speedos, and I will do my best to continue contributing as such, but I agree with others, that thongs and g-strings can be part of this forum, as long as it has to do with swimming. I have a thong that was advertised for swimming; however, I will likely never dare to leave the house wearing it to any beach, even though having posted it here many threads before.

We are here to discuss all things on brief swimwear, and yes, don't be offended if you don't get responses on something that you posted that is non-swimwear that others don't find any interest in. That is the great diversity that this international group brings to this forum.
