anyone worn speedos in san juan puerto rico? what's the scene like there?

I was at the Ritz, plenty of speedos around and never felt concerned or uncomfortable. There is a gay area on the beach closer to old San Juan that is even fuller of speedos. Have fun! Also, if you can get to the beaches on the east coast near Fajardo or out to the island of Vieques. Vieques is amazing and full of small beaches where you may be with a max of 12 other people on the beach.

Yes anywhere in Puerto Rico you can get away with wearing a speedo at a beach but be a bit more concervative not showing a big boner at the hotel pool If you have the guts & do not care no one will throw you out even at the pool The weather is reaaly nice & San Juan has some interesting gay beaches where a flimsy thong can be worn

In Puerto Rico, just like in the States, speedos are not the norm. All the males wear boardshorts. Nevertheless, in very turistic areas is common to see tourist wearing them and I don't think there has ever been an issue about it. It's very rare to find a local wearing speedos at the beach.
