Pride Pool Party

So last weekend was gay pride and I got invited to a pool party to celebrate and beat the heat before the parade and festivities began. I ended up wearing my black nike swim brief (the one in my profile pic) but was one of only two people at the party to wear one. I didn't really mind, though. I got a lot of compliments, a lot of looks, and even a couple friendly pats on the butt for my choice of swimwear. It felt really good to just relax with a bunch of guys at the pool with nothing but my little wet speedo to keep me covered.

Nice, shame there weren't more people in briefs though.

Okieswimmer,
I'm really surprised you were in the minority mate. Down under guys are much more happy to get into a speedo at a gay friendly event like that.
You look fantastic in that black nike - I would have offered you more than a tap on the butt.

So, does it mean that now even gay guys do not wear speedos in the US?
Then, who wears them?

Haha, thanks Dave. The swim suits in general were shorter and tighter than what most guys still sport around here, but not quite as short as I like them :) I'll just keep wearing mine with pride until they all realize how ridiculous they look.
And ffboy, speedos are definitely more accepted in the gay community here in the states, but they still suffer minority status around my neck of the woods.

Wow! I figured that if there was a ever a place or occasion to break out some skimpy swimwear and be extremely appreciated for it, that would be it. But short and tight suits are good though! Thanks for your work in continuing to represent the Speedo Nation.

I'm not to surprised that there were fewer speedos then boardshorts at a pride party. The full out gay guys that I know, are very fashion conscience and choose the more "in" fashion clothing attire and would "never" be caught in something so passe.
I think that is why I get to pull off wearing speedos and keep my masculine side, and my hidden bi side.
