What does this site mean to you?

I have been meaning to do this for a while and finally I have got a bit of time.

First of all I just wanted to say how much this site means to me. It is such a friendly and attitude free place to meet up and swap stories and pictures. It feels like a safe place and is a bit like sitting down in a pub with a group of mates and having a chat. There is no feeling that people are in competition with each other. Basically, it feels like a community in the best sense of the word.

It is also wonderful that it is so genuinely international and for me to gain a perspective on some of the challenges faced by people in other countries has been fascinating. Of course, some of this is down to Dave and the ethos that he set up and has maintained. Thanks mate. A big part of it is also down to everyone else. The way that everyone shares and supports each other makes this a very special place indeed.

As an older, unfitter guy who loves wearing Speedos it is also encouraging to see that I am not on my own. Like so many things in life it is always great to know that there are others like you!

I was wondering if anyone else would like to share their thoughts on what the site means for them.

A little confidence booster - I wouldn't post pics of me in Speedos on my social media although I have recently wore them in front of friends.
Aspiration to get fitter and a great place to talk about something I love (wearing Speedos) when it doesn't have to only be able being gay. (I would say I identify as Bi, but being married and committed to that relationship - I'm not pursuing that side of me - been there done that got the T-Shirt!)
Also to see and hear stories of others adventuring in Speedos! and maybe swimming as well... sometimes!

I agree with DrD, this forum is a confidence booster for me. Without it I probably would never have switched to square cuts, let alone speedos. Now I don't even think about it when I go to the gym or beach.

This is a great place. I love to hear about everybody's experiences. It is enjoyable to meet new people and to be able to boost their confidence.

It feels very safe here. No one is judgemental. You really do see that there are many guys across all ages & cultures that love speedos. Maybe "fashion trends" will swing the other directoin and they will be accepted in more places.

Guys,

I really like how everyone is positive on here. I can't remember the last time someone was kicked off or their comments were moderated which I think is great.

Being free I don't get much time to spend on it policing or maintaining it but it seems to be running itself which is great.

Thanks everyone for contributing.

Thanks for keeping the site going, Dave. I like that it is a community of like minded folks that all have a love and appreciation for Speedos and can join together in sharing and expressing those interests knowing that everyone else here is welcoming, understanding and not critical or dismissive! I have many varied interests, loving speedos is probably the most esoteric, and it's not like it's a subject matter that I share with anyone or everyone in the usual circles I find myself in, so it's really great to be able to have this site to come to and celebrate the Speedo, which is without question the greatest, awesomest swimsuit style on the planet! (Er... for dudes, that is!)
