NYC Pool Suggestions

This weekend is suppose to be fairly decent so I was thinking of hitting the beach one day and then for the other just find a good pool in the city to spend a relaxing day hanging out in my speedo. I started looking at some of the city pools, but think those may be too crowded, and heard that the Holiday Inn in Midtown has a good outdoor pool. Does anyone from the NYC area have any recommendations?
