Puerto Rico- after the trip

So we spent our week in PR. Aside from being marred by the loss of my $400 Oakley sunglasses and catching quite a cold from god knows where, we did have fun. The days were beautiful and the temps were around the 85 degree mark with some wicked humidity. I was very happy to get to wear my speedos at a beach in public. It felt awesome! The only other public speedo wearings had been on our river rafting trips and various hot tubs. I chose to wear my blue and gray Assuibums with the side stripes and on the final day i wore my neon pink one. I did not get any disapproving stares nor did anybody tell me to put more clothes on. While i was the only one who walked around the pool and beach in speedos, there was one older guy who was sunbathing well away from the rest of the crowd on the beach in a black speedo. There were also about five guys wearing more square cut styles that were still tight. One boy was wearing what looked like Nike compression shorts.

Our resort was about 30 min south of San Juan. It was the Wyndam Rio Mar resort and spa. Aside from the beach, they had a few fun things to do like lawn games and the hot tub and a golf course. Outside of those few things, unless you wanted to lounge on the beach it was kinda dull. ( for my tastes anyways) Sadly we did not make it to Condada Beach as others had suggested. The transportation cost was just too high for us. I recommend anybody who visits PR to stay closer to San Juan. While this resort was -ok- i think we would have had more fun being closer to the nicer part of the island. The island itself seems kinda dirty to me, with most of the houses in disrepair. ALL of the houses we drove past on the tour buses had bars on the windows, tall metal fences and gated carports, suggesting a high crime rate despite what our research had told us before we left. The area around Condada beach seemed much nicer from the highway as we traveled to Old San Juan for a tour of the fort.

It was nice to get away to a warmer climate, but we were happy to get home. Our feet are very sore, were are peeling from the sunburns (yes we put on tons of sunscreen, but it didn't seem to help) and we both have wicked coughs. Sadly its time to pack away the shorts, tank tops and speedos for a couple months till the weather in our area returns to comfort.

These are the suits that i chose to wear during the week. I got some stares from guests, but the employees seemed to have been used to seeing it.

Haha, yes. I wanted them for like 9 years and saved my money to buy them. Oakley Juliet X Metal sunglasses. Sexiest ones iv ever seen. They fit perfectly and were hot as fuck. Hot guys turn me on, but accessories make the guy. Sunglasses, hats, the right shoes, the right clothes, even something as simple as a watch can make or break a guy.

Hot choice of swimsuits! Glad you had a good time! I was at the Rio Mar a few years ago. I spent my time on the beach in my basic black speedo. There was one or two other guys wearing them and a hot young guy in a tight pair of trunks. Its always great to be on vacation!

Hah that's pretty cool! You must've been devastated when you lost them.

I'm not really an 'accessory' guy myself and don't pay big bucks for expensive accessories - but when I got a job at a local surf shop, there was a Nixon watch worth £250 that I kept my eye on. I started off as a 4 hour sales advisor and told myself that if I ever earned enough money I'd buy that watch. A year later, I became supervisor and with my new salary I bought the watch. I keep an eye on it like a hawk, if I ever lost it I'd be devastated.
