I was in FLorida last week, biking and hanging out in my Aussiebum. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a guy come up to my area in a speedo...we had a great talk about everything under the sun, especially about how we were proud to wear our suits and hang out on the beach. Both of us are stocky guys could lose some weight but neither cared about what might have been said. I look forward to moving down to a sunnier climate for more regular times in the ocean with my suits...

I found something the other day while searching for something trying to explain to someone why a guy wearing anything other than a pair of boardshorts to the pool is fair game for abuse. As they couldn't quite work out why you'd get comments and stares at the pool fro wearing a pair of jammers, square cut or speedos.

My I suggest either of these two options:

1. Tell them that if you speedo's are innapropriate you're happy to take them off...
2. Next time wear something less revealling- a burqa! when they go ape-shit about that and tell you it's innapropriate just say that you'll tell the local paper. This last one is garunteed to upset the American right and the islamic militants- and that's why it's cool!
BTW I thought the suit looked rather conservative, I was expecting something more briefer.

Or #3 they can stop staring at you and the problem would be solved

Tex,
I am so happy that you still have your speedo collection!

I'm not surprised you had the same results the second time as the first. Contrary to the conversation, you are not dealing with "bible belt" mentality, you are not dealing with "conservative values", you are dealing with the insecure college USA guys. Sadly, I regret I was one who needed to find fault in anyone not in my like my group in some ways, but I still forged ahead in wearing the speedo. I encourage you to continue to wear your speedo, even it requires you to travel a distance......we can't loose you dude!!
Let's keep it brief.

Get a girlfriend to go with you, whether you're straight or gay. They'll assume she made you wear them.
