Hi everyone!
We are finally planning a vacation and going to Portugal. Obviously going to wear my speedos but was wondering if anyone has been and if speedos are the norm like in Italy? I seem to be finding that speedos are less used in Portugal.

Went to Madeira (Portugese Island) a few years ago and speedos were not uncommon.
However I would think they may be rarer on the mainland due to the influence of visiting Brits!

Was going to say just this, that because it's so popular with Brits that's going to have a big effect on the speedo culture.

I was on a beach on the Algarve a few years ago...not a very busy beach, but there were a few speedos...I'd say percentage wise, maybe about a quarter were wearing them.

I’ll be closer to the Porto area.
I’m in need of a good speedo tan so won’t be bothered by the sad board shorts around.
