Re: Tie Cord. In or Out.
On one of my speedos last week the string got caught in the door to the gym locker. And as I pulled them up the string pulled all the way out. So my decision ahs been made, no string. They are still tight, I just need to be careful diving in or pushing off from the wall.

Hmmm. That looks like it would work. I'll give it a shot. Tedious
Re: Tie Cord. In or Out.
sometimes easy to use the straight section of a coat hanger (cut the wire) to do this. Bend the end back onto itself you you don't cut your suit, or put a piece of tape on the tip. Then thread the wire into one of the tie holes and work it by hand around the suit until it comes out of the other tie hole. Then tie a knot at the end of one string and bend a hook in the wire to lock in the string and carefully pull the wire out until it comes back and out of the original tie hole. The string should follow it and you are ready to tie and swim.

Re: Tie Cord. In or Out.
When swimming I'm a drawstring in and done up tight type of person otherwise when pushing off the wall with my stomach sucked in they catch the water and open up at the front, and they get pulled down which is a bit annoying when I'm trying to focus during a squad. Aussiebums in sets by myself, I don't do up tight because I just slip into them without doing the drawstring and hang the drawstring out, but they open up at the front when swimming. Seems I do everything really.
If its just social, which is hardly, or open water swimming then it doesn't matter, in/out, done up or not I do it all with the exception of Aussiebum's which will fall straight off me unless I do them up!
Boardies though! I really love wearing boardies on my hips, drawstring undone and hanging and then boardies only held on by a little bit of velco that holds them together. You could literally just pull them down on me, but they've never fallen off me. I think its pretty good, leaves people who notice wondering a bit. I don't really swim in boardies, if I did I would do them up, the strings always hang out.

That's the way to wear them. I do over my speedo/Budgy/AB from the car to the beach, which is a bit of a hike on a path through a grove of sea grape.. Boardies look best worn as low on your butt as is possible. None of my boardies have ever actually been in the ocean....:::sam:::... wrote: ↑Sun Jun 27, 2021 2:49 am

I put the cord inside, but sometimes there's not enough room in my Mategear suits!

I keep mine untied and in almost all the time. I am yet to see a suit without the drawstring before.
