Pools in Canberra

Post by DaveSpeedoEvans » Wed Aug 28, 2019 1:26 pm

G'day guys,

In a week or so's time I'm going to head out to Canberra for a friends birthday. He lives pretty close to Parliament House, I think the suburb is called Manuka? I could be wrong on that.

I've had a look around for pools but the public ones seem to be closed in winter.

Anyone have any pool suggestions?

Thanks.

Dave

The pool in Manuka is ok. Very dated. But a nice vibe.

But you can also try Canberra international sports and aquatic centre which may be abit far.

If not Canberra Olympic pool and health club is pretty central.

Mazda,

Thanks for your reply mate, I found the Manuka Pool but their website says they are only open in Summer (OCtober thru March). Saying that, their website says Copyright 2016 so that might be out of date.

Also, Google says they are open.

When I was there last year. It was closed during colder months. Generally opens during school holidays. I’m guessing it might be first week of October. But worth a try :)
But I prefer the other one anyway. But cleaner and a bigger shower area.
