Do you have a speedo your wife/partner/etc ask you not to wear again?

Post by _su_ » Tue Jul 09, 2019 4:33 pm

A few years ago I wore my green Aussiebum Loose WJ Lennox on vacation. My wife didn't say anything while on vacation, but later on, asked me not to wear it again(knowing I have dozens of others to choose from). She didn't say why, but I'm guessing it was the high transparency. Anyone else have this experience with a particular suit?

I recently bought the regular, non-WJ Loose 2.5 in forest green and yellow, which supposedly has low transparency. Wish me luck!

I have that in light blue, which might be more transparent. There’s just enough opacity for to not be see-through but people will get a pretty good mental picture of your anatomy  . Also, ABs being loose contributes. My girlfriend hasn’t ever said anything negative, in fact she likes them.

I do have a solid white 1 1/2 inch aussiebum which is completely transparent. My ex-wife hated that one. To be honest, I didn’t like it much either, especially in the rear when wet. As our marriage was ending I wore it to her parents pool.

Hilarious question. Doesn't apply to me as I don't have a partner. Quite like the suit mentioned - it's not leopard-print or super-skimpy or anything! How transparent does it get? Transparent enough to see your Kermit the Frog? If so, I can see why your lady might protest!

Luckily my partner has no problem with any of my swim briefs, even the pairs with a high sheer rating that I wear to the beach.

I’m not shy about taking my clothes off, but I’d rather not wear something completely see-through to a public beach or pool. I’ll wear them at a private pool, or among friends. And I’ve Got no problem going naked at a nude beach. I just would rather not have the hassle of little kids staring at my junk. And they will stare, believe me

My wife doesn't really like any of my speedos except for the squarecuts. A suit with any sort of transparency would immediately result in a look of disgust from my wife. She doesn't care what I wear in private though. What fun is that?
Just a straight guy that enjoys wearing speedos. Life is too short, enjoy wearing what you want.

My husband doesn’t want me wearing any of my speedos, ever. I think he’s an ageists. Seems if you over thirty, in his mind your too old to wear a Speedo. This is odd because, I meet my husband while swimming in the nude.

My wife does not disapprove of any of my suits. However I would not wear any suit in public that I know she would disapprove of as I would not approve of it myself.

I had a girlfriend years ago who thought my 28" plain black speedo's looked too tight. "They don't leave anything to the imagination!". Yeah, that's why I wore them.

So, after prancing (and I say that as a straight man) in my new aussiebum loose, all Sunday afternoon around the house (inside, very much around the wife), I definitely got her approval of the new suit. She always asks "are those new?". Then she said "I love that color". We have a weekend coming up in Ft Lauderdale area with her liberal coworkers. We shall see how it goes.

My husband doesn't wear speedos, and I think he was semi annoyed when I started wearing them. These days, he knows that he's lost the war, and even says how much he likes some!
