Thanks SEASPEEDO, I appreciate it. For the record I have nothing against tan lines, I just don’t like the most extreme tan lines. What I mean is nice and tan up against bright white. I prefer nice and tan against light tan.

Last Saturday my boyfriend and I hiked up one of the steepest trails in our part of the North Cascades (Welcome Pass), ending up on High Divide in glorious early spring (even though it's almost summer) sunshine. I hiked most of the way up and back in just a well-worn jockstrap, which I removed once we got to the ridge. Except for a period when I wore a shirt for sun protection, that's the way I stayed until we started down, again in my jock. When we heard the voices of a family on the trail below I resorted to donning my kilt as I didn't want to upset another group on the trail. We hadn't expected to see anyone heading up at that hour, especially a family with a couple of pre-teen daughters. A bit later we stopped so I could photograph some very nice wildflowers along the trail and the kilt came back off. At the bottom of the steepest part of the trail I lost the jock and hiked the final mile back to our rig in my birthday suit. My boyfriend enjoys being naked outside as much as I do, but had to wear clothing for a while on the ridge for sun protection as he burns easily. We encountered two other parties on the trail on our way up and I comfortably greeted them (all men) in just my jock.

If have yet to experience hiking naked I encourage you to do so when the opportunity arises.

I like the idea of being naked hiking, but whenever I have tried it in the hills I have never been that comfortable. Much happier with a pair of short shorts (like rugby or Aussiebum shorts).
Do love a skinny dip in a river or loch after a walk though!

There is a trail that runs around/near Tiger Mtn. Nudist Resort that is used for the “Bare Buns Fun Run” every year. I’m considering hiking it during one of my future visits. My only concern is how bad are the bugs. Am I swapping sunscreen for bug repellent, or provided I do t work up to much of a sweat will I be ok without? While I love rocking the speedo, now that I’ve gotten to experience social nudity , the less on my body the better. That includes chemicals whenever possible/practical.

Well done Solar73. I am a bit jealous! Been a while now since I've done it.

I had an outdoor shower a few years back, which I used a lot in the mornings during summers. The neighbours behind could see it when they were in the backyard but never said anything, and would go about their renovating. These days I don't have the time or place to do nude activities. Hopefully I can have an area in the house I have just bought, for nude gardening etc.

My last house, the backyard was open to several properties and we had some gossiping neighbours who prevented us from making complete use of the yard during the day. Instead I would strip off and wander the yard at night, or sit in a lawn chair, when the weather was warm, sometimes have sex next to the pool.

Met my husband in 1975, nude. Laid out in our backyard for 25 years, nude. Moved to our new house in the city, lay out in our backyard, nude. My first visit to Yosenite in 1990, nude in a pool at Bridalveil Falls very risky.

Haha Bluefinch - good question! I'm assuming yes...don't want to burn the poor fella.

There's quite a nudist community around where I live in South Wales, they do regular beach meet-ups and hire a local pool out once a month or two. I'm not 100% sure if it appeals to me to be honest, maybe one day when I'll give it a go if I'm feeling like trying something new.

Yes love being nude or in a speedo. Try to be nude as often as I can, and have met a few cool mates on the TrueNudist forum that I hang regularly with now. Either at the beach, nude campground or one of our places.

I'll admit I prefer the speedos at the beach, even the nude beach (Haulover) but there's a few personal reasons for that too.
I like my tan lines and don't want to burn my pickle, but at Haulover - while most don't care, there's still quite a few who are staring for sexual pleasure and it's part annoying, part gross. The problem with Haulover is that it's a "public" clothing optional beach in Miami so it's always very populated. Sleeping nude though...that's the preference!
