Aussiebum sizing

Post by BJE » Mon Feb 12, 2018 5:23 pm

I know this has been asked before but I couldn’t find it with the search feature. Anyway, how does the sizing run with Aussiebum? Their size chart says to measure around the hip bone line which for me would be quite a a bit larger measurement than pant waist size. With most brands of suits my waist size 32 fits fine. Sometimes I buy a 30. However with the Aussiebum size measurement I’d be buying a size L which seems too big since I never buy anything larger than medium waist size.

I wear a 30" pant and generally get 30" speedos, I personally used to get S and they fit fine just would leave those deep pressure marks where the elastic is on the suit. Thats why I get M now at Aussiebum. Hope this helps.

I'm a 31-32" pant size, but I in AB I buy M for the classic, and S for the loose. The small in the loose is brief on me for sure; no extra room for my "goods" in the WJ loose, but fun. If you're more modest, get the M in the loose - the S in front rides right at the base of my shaft!

Just came from a hotel hot tub where I wore several!

im a 30-32 in jeans usually 32.
but im a Small in Aussiebum in the classic or loose.
theres a couple of styles thats sits lower im in a medium
for me, i go for smaller because ill end up with a saggy butt if i had it bigger.

underwear wise im a mix of medium and small as well. all depends of the strap

I'm a 34 waist in jeans and suits and I'm between medium and large for aussiebum. The loose is fine as a medium but since i started a squats programme at the gym in August the classic and WJ are now quite tight at medium, I can get into them but they're not super comfortable and pretty close fitting. A large gives a bit more room at the back and a more modest fit. BJE you should find medium classic a reasonably snug fit but fine. The large will be much more relaxed but that can look good too because the material naturally drapes itself so it ends up hugging your figure and accentuates the front. When I was in Aus I noticed a lot of guys wore nylon suits generously sized. This gives a bit more freedom of movement cause the material isn't particularly stretchy.

I always found a good fit in M in classic but now it is too loose and more importantly too high. It depends a lot on your body shape, how big you at the front or the back or both!

Aussiebum are really inconsistent in their sizing depending on which one you buy. I'm inbetween 32/34 and M in the classics and looses fit well. I agree with what Scottiebums says.

I'm a 32-33 in jeans, pants, shorts, etc. I followed the AB size guide and ordered a large which was too big for me. Found the medium was a good size for me.

I just ordered two suits in size M. I hope they fit. Since they are on sale they apparently aren’t returnable. I ordered a WJ 1.5” loose and a WJ Storm.

I have about 31 for jeans etc. But the Aussiebum in M are a bit too large. AB fits best for me in S, the loose even XS.
