Good, I do understand people are confused and inexperienced or whatever.
What I do not understand is why they don't care about comfort?
If after 1 day in cotton underwear on the beach and water - you will generally get unpleasant sensation of wetness to you skin.
Probably you skin will get soggy.
In worst case you can probably get some unpleasant rash or even something worse.
Human skins is not designed to stay wet and soggy - it loses its defensive abilities when constantly, especially in an area that gentle.

So, after one day, feeling wet on the beach - could you probably go ahead and by something from Nylon/Lycra?
And if you still wish wear the baggy shorts on top?
Isn't this just common sense?
