speedo axcel splice?

Post by paddedfoot » Tue Jan 15, 2013 1:03 pm

hi guys, i was wondering if any of you own the speedo axcel splice brief used on and off again by the US divers? i think it looks great, and was wondering if i should try picking up a pair if I can. But if any of you guys know about how it feels on, like the fit and the material, that would be great to know. :)

It looks like this, and this post is clearly not just an excuse to post some photos of some great athletes too...

I used to wear them for lap swims. Fabric is pretty thick and similar to other speedo suits.

I usually go for a Nike splice suit, they seem to fit me better and I find them more comfy. Just my personal preference. The fabric is a little thinner and less restrictive.

If you swim much in a chlorinated pool, both will wear out in a few months, especially in the back.

Thanks john for the info. I've had a couple of nike suits but I havent been too great a fan of them compared to speedo, but then I got them in the UK, and from what i've read there might be some difference in materials. Anyway I got a pair of the axcel splice fairly cheaply, so when they get here I'll know how they are!
