No longer lurking

Been a lurker in read-only mode for a long time and finally decided to officially join.

Off and on swimmer, currently off because I'm too busy with other activities like running a business, gardening, hiking, and sometimes bicycling. Haven't worn anything but brief speedo-style suits since high school, and I graduated more than 40 years ago. My fitness goal is to always look good in my swimsuit. My wife has never seen me in any other kind of swimsuit (nor without a beard).

Last week I was the only guy in a brief swimsuit in the warm pools on the Puna coast of Hawaii, and on the beach there. I wore a new red Sporti Euro cut, same style as the black one in my avatar.

Welcome! I bought and started wearing my first Speedo in Honolulu in the early 1990s and it was the only swimsuit I wore on beaches all around Oahu during multiple visits in those days. Not many speedo wearers but at least I wasn't the only one. I haven't been back in a long time but next time I do visit, I for sure will not wear any type of swimsuit other than speedos. I just wonder if there will be even fewer speedo wearers now than there were back then.

Welcome to the group. Always great to hear from other guys who have been wearing speedos for a long time!

I prefer posters over lurkers, so I'm pleased to see another join our merry band in the USA of speedoer's, even though you live in that tropical paradise you call home, and some of us are in an early spring thaw of muck, welcome!

Snowbrief, it hasn't been quite warm enough to garden in speedos yet. But almost. I lived in Nebraska 11 years, which isn't all that much warmer than Minnesota in the winter. I feel for you.
