Hi guys,
Been aware of the forum for a while but just joined.
Had a speedo fetish since my teenage years back in the day of the silky nylon suits so you can imagine my joy when I discoverd Aussiebum suits
I'm a keen swimmer and scuba diver and love wearing speedos in the water whenever possible. Also do the odd triathlon to keep fit but not in speedos due to chaffing issues!
And I picked up my first pair up off a hook in the swim team changing room. Couldn't be one of their red and white stripey pairs as I wasn't in the team!

Octopush (underwater hockey) looks like a lot of fun and yes, can't be efficiently played in long baggy trunks, only speedos will suffice.
And anyone who is serious about freediving in water warm enough to forgo a wetsuit does it in a speedo. Period. Anyone who dives while enduring the bother and drag of long and baggy trunks is simply out of their mind. Freediving is the act of moving efficiently and elegantly under the water, that's why wearing a speedo is so important. There's nothing elegant about board shorts flailing about underwater.

Hi Tightrunkslad and diveguy,
I regularly scuba dive but in this country it's a drysuit as it's cold. Abroad it's a wetsuit and always speedos underneath - apart from the feel, who wants 2 yards of baggy shorts material scrunched up around your bits for a dive - which is exactly what happens when you pull the wetsuit on - yuk!
I open water swim for triathlon too, usally in a tri wetsuit and usually speedos underneath again as I find them more comfortable than a trisuit or pair of tri shorts - necessary on competition day but otherwise speedos
