Just wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone out there. I have been following this forum for some time, but finally decided to register! Being from the US, where most are not accepting of speedos I have always been stuck wearing boards. But I always wore a speedo underneath. On the beach I would pull the boards down a bit and the legs up to get a better tan, but never got up the courage to go in just a speedo.
I was going on my honeymoon to the Maldives and decided here is no way I am going there and wearing boards, so I bought some short and thin Diesel shorts. We got there and the Europeans there were in some boards, some shorter swim trunks and some speedos. So I said f it! I decided to go all 10 days in speedos! It was great! The only time I put on shorts was to snorkel just for some extra protection from the sun. I loved going out in just speedos. So much better than boards and much better tan lines! And the wife enjoyed it too!
What a great time! I may consider doing this in the US in the summer now!

Great story! Welcome aboard, and congratulations on joining the speedo wearing community! Next up is to get some tan on the backs of the legs, and also some good water resitant sunscreen, and only wear the speedo for snorkeling, because you'll discover that the feeling of freedom of snorkeling in speedos is supreme!

Tony, from a fellow Statesman, welcome to our ever expanding group of proper swim wear wearers, can't get better then to have another one in the State's to make us know this is not a vanishing style.
You are among friends in New Jersey as it is certainly a rising state for those wearing the speedo, may the trend continue and flourish! Enjoy!

Welcome Tony from your neighbor state of PA.
Wear a pair of speedo to the beaches on Sandy Hook--Maybe Ill see you there next summer!
