Re: Tips to get the drawstring out?
Two ways that work for me. Both require a stiff wire like a metal coat hanger. Make a small closed hook (eye) in one end so you don't cut the suit when you fish out the drawstring and you can use it to possibly grab the drawstring . 1. Entering the missing drawstring eye opening, push the wire into ...

Re: What brand is this suit?
I tend to agree with Fred, a MARCUSE. Check out their Wonderland model. There is a single page that shows all of their suits and it look like the first suit, top, left of that page.

I like the Arena one the best. Sure both will look good on you, but I like the Arena one the best.

At my YMCA most of the guys on the swim team wear jammers (as typical today), but there are one or two guys who do wear speedos during training. Speedos are allowed to be worn in the pool for either team or rec swimming.

So true ExBex, especially this year. Last weekend was perfect for late fall tanning and I didn't get out either.

Compare the first photo to the one above and it looks like some photoshop has been done to the top one. To me the suit looks smaller in the first post than your last post.

Re: I want to wear my speedos around family
Start with the blue one and field any comments from friends and family and when you are more comfortable go for the white one. Both look great on you. The white one may go a little sheer when wet, but if you know it doesn't then just do the white one. You have the body for both.

Re: Mategear Suits
Agree with Bulgerunner (above) that some styles could get you in trouble, but they do have some cuts (styles) with full backs and legal front coverage. Being Asian sizing I agree with an earlier post of upsizing one or two sizes, but it may depend somewhat on the cut of the suit. Go for it, know you...

Re: Tie Cord. In or Out.
sometimes easy to use the straight section of a coat hanger (cut the wire) to do this. Bend the end back onto itself you you don't cut your suit, or put a piece of tape on the tip. Then thread the wire into one of the tie holes and work it by hand around the suit until it comes out of the other tie ...

Mid-70s 100% nylon Speedo sluggos: Had one of these suits just like in the photo. Loved it and it was so comfortable. Agree with others as it looked good on everyone.

Agree with Swimsharkau; plus if they had worn another suit to get that tan line, then you would not see the tan line below the current speedo. His hips would be tan as well.

Re: Skimpiest suit to swim laps
Post by 52dno98 » Sat Dec 08, 2018 9:29 am I've swum in Tyr 2" briefs (like I have in my avatar), which are actually closer to 1.5" in width, but even those are a little narrow, in my view, for regular lap swimming. My typical brief for laps is an Arena suit; most of their standard briefs are 2-2.5"...

I would say go for it. Nice looking suit and still more a brief than wearing board shorts making a nice compromise.
